Jennifer is driven by a belief that all children deserve a high-quality education that enables them to take advantage of opportunities that positively impact their futures and communities. Since literacy is a key that unlocks a myriad of skills and opportunities, Jennifer is excited to join the ALLMemphis team to create systemic change in learning environments and help create a fully literate community. After more than a decade of serving as an educator and teacher-leader in high-need elementary schools, she is ready to use her skills to assist the team in creating effective and equitable support to schools, teachers, and students. A life-long learner, Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology from the University of Memphis and master’s degrees in both urban education and educational leadership from Union University and Austin Peay State University, respectively. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys participating in volunteer activities that uplift and encourage vulnerable populations in Memphis and exploring the city with her German Shepherd and godchildren.
