With a deep commitment to fostering educational growth and equity, Taylor is a passionate educator and advocate. She has more than seven years of experience in both the academic and community sectors. All in all, Taylor believes that literacy is the answer. Leveraging a background in social work, teaching, and behavioral health, Taylor specializes in creating inclusive learning environments that support students' academic, social, and emotional development. Following the completion of her bachelor’s degree in health science and sociology at the University of South Florida, Taylor worked as an Early Head Start child development specialist. This role ignited her passion for improving educational outcomes, so she went on to join Teach for America as a Memphis corps member, where she taught third and fifth grade while serving as a grade level and intervention chairperson. Dedicated to lifelong learning, Taylor completed Christian Brothers University's Master of Education program and then ventured into the behavioral health space to reach and teach some of Memphis’ most vulnerable learners. Taylor brings a holistic, research-based approach to learning and is dedicated to driving positive educational change by supporting the actualization of ALLMemphis’ vision – a fully literate community. Outside of work, Taylor is a zealous crafter and gardener whose goal is to leave each space more colorful and unique than she found it.
