Hattie is a certified reading specialist and program specialist at ALLMemphis, bringing over seven years of experience in education, primarily in Memphis. She holds a bachelor's degree in education from Covenant College and a master’s degree in urban education from Union University. In her pursuit of equal access for her students, Hattie became a certified reading specialist in 2022, where she witnessed firsthand the impact of research-based reading instruction. Additionally, her passion for early literacy education was ignited during her three years as a mentor teacher with Memphis Teacher Residency. At ALLMemphis, Hattie focuses on helping teachers grow in their knowledge and practice, utilizing effective strategies to promote literacy and academic achievement for underserved communities. Committed to ongoing professional development, she continually seeks new strategies to enhance educational practices and is eager to share her insights with the teachers she coaches.
